One of my favorite, first-person shooter video games was Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). Playing the game with friends or by myself, I always enjoyed planning out the strategy and collaborating with friends or other online players in each round. One of my favorite features of the game was obtaining custom skins for the different weapons in-game, through loot boxes. I was so impressed by the different textures that other people made in the Steam Workshop, for CS:GO, that I wanted to learn how to do it myself. So, I watched a few tutorials on YouTube and got to work. The skins below are some of my favorite creations. All of the designs feature abstract textures of my own creation using Photoshop and 3D Coat. The Rising Sun Desert Eagle design is the only one in which I used images found on Google. At the time of creating each of these featured skins, I knew nothing about 3D Modelling, UV Mapping, or how to make textures for games. Yet, it was the amazing skins on the Steam Workshop for CS:GO that inspired me to learn more and begin my design journey.
